CQUIN: DH clarifies VTE data collection requirements The NHS Medical Director, Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, has issued clarification in a ‘Dear Colleague’ letter on the data collection requirements to achieve the CQUIN goal of 90% VTE risk assessment in hospitalised patients. In particular, the document clarifies that some local flexibility is possible around what constitutes delivery of risk assessment in regular day case admissions and specific cohorts of patients for whom the risk assessment can be confidently predicted.   Access the ‘Dear Colleague’ letter here and the updated guidance notes here.
